Shift booking on WE4Pharmacy is the same five-step process for every locum and every pharmacy. Knowing it cold removes most of the friction.
1. Find a shift
The shifts page shows every open shift across the platform. Filter by date, postcode radius, role and rate. Save a search to get notified when matching shifts post.
2. Apply
Tap Apply. Your profile, credentials and rate are attached automatically. Add a short note if the shift's brief mentions something specific.
3. Confirmation
The pharmacy reviews and accepts. Both parties get a notification. The shift now shows on your dashboard with the branch address, manager contact and any branch-specific notes (parking, key code, dispensary system).
4. Work the shift
Turn up, do the work. Most branches use a paper or app sign-in for the Responsible Pharmacist record — follow whatever the pharmacy's SOP says.
5. Timesheet and payment
After the shift, sign off your hours on the platform. The pharmacy approves with one tap. The platform generates a PDF invoice with your details and bank info — you (or the pharmacy's accountant) attach it to payroll. WE4Pharmacy does not take a cut; the pharmacy pays you directly.
What if it goes wrong?
- Pharmacy cancels before the shift: the cancellation policy shown at confirmation kicks in. Within the policy window, the pharmacy pays a cancellation fee.
- You can't make it: notify the pharmacy as soon as you know. Repeated last-minute cancellations affect your platform standing.
- Hours dispute: raise it on the timesheet. Both parties can comment before the invoice is generated.
